Bottom line: if you’re not an observant Jew, why would you want to be bar mitzvahed; if you do not practice Buddhism, why would you want to be a Buddhist monk?
I’ve heard the following grievance from a number of singles.
The latter affects body and soul while the former affects merely money.
Money can be repaid, but the possible damage ensuing from the compromising of another individual’s self-esteem may be irreparable.
They were having fun, spending more and more time together, sharing more thoughts and feelings, and naturally feeling closer.
They spent a lot of time together enjoying mutual interests like movies, sports, and spiritual activities. Physically, they were becoming more affectionate also. They enjoyed the closeness, never thinking they would get into trouble. They were both committed to their values of abstinence before marriage.
